Be a part of the largest Open Access event ever—Open Access Week 2011. Open Access Week, now in its fifth year, has grown to include activities on 1,000 sites in close to 100 countries. With the anticipated participation of thousands of researchers, professors, students, librarians, university administrators, funding agencies, policy makers, and knowledge workers, Open Access Week 2011 will bring together a diverse group of stakeholders interested in promoting the free and immediate dissemination of scholarly literature and data. Past contributions have been diverse,inspiring, challenging, and creative.
For the first time, SPARC is inviting organizations to show their support for Open Access Week by becoming a sponsor. Open Access Week 2011 provides a unique opportunity for organizations that wish to connect with the global momentum toward open sharing. Open Access Week 2011 sponsors will be given wide visibility in a variety of channels, according to the tiers outlined below. We encourage you to be a part of this unique event.
In 2010, the Open Access Week Web site hosted:
- 38,783 visits and 27,954 visitors from 150 countries in October alone
- 90,578 visits and 63,770 visitors from 179 countries in the year (January-December)
- Top visitors from the US, the UK, Germany, Canada, Spain, Poland, France, India, Portugal, Japan, Italy, and South Africa
