JKUAT open acceess week a success

The JKUAT open access week finally took place!! We were able to successfully carry out all the planned activities. The facilitators of the workshops on plagiarism, referencing tools and web web 2.0 did a superb job. The workshops were very informative. They elicited interesting debates such as whether the students were ready to have their work run through the plagiarism detector softwares in preparation for uploading on the proposed JKUAT institutionary repository. JKUAT LAUNCHES ITS OPEN ACCESS WEEK

JKUAT LAUNCHES ITS OPEN ACCESS WEEKJKUAT launched its open access week on Monday the 18th with an exhibition at our graduation pavilion. The students’ interest in the exhibition and their participation has been very impressive. The JKUAT library is working with JKUAT students to come up with ideas for participation in the OA week. They plan to come up with fun events to help advocate for OA. They have already given suggestions for our proposed OA institutional repository. They are so creative!!! Its fun working with them.See More
