AI in Science - How to apply artificial intelligence in science

AI in Science - How to apply artificial intelligence in science We invite you on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, from 6 p.m. to the lectures entitled "AI in Science - How to apply artificial intelligence in science". In cooperation with the Penkala association, we have prepared two interesting and useful lectures on this topic, which will be presented by our colleagues Maja Hoić and Matej Gjurković! A little more about them and the topic of the lecture: • Maja Hoić is a doctoral student at the University of the North and is employed as a librarian at the Ruđer Bošković Institute. As part of her doctoral studies, she deals with the optimization of scientific metadata to facilitate data searching. She will hold a lecture entitled: "From Search to Prediction: Searching Scientific Databases with AI" • Matej Gjurković, PhD student at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing. He deals with research in the field of personality analysis of the author of the text and suppression of disinformation using artificial intelligence. He will hold a lecture entitled: "Generative Artificial Intelligence: the Swiss army knife in the scientist's pocket" After the lecture, we continue with the standard gathering, where you can relax with some drinks. Educational and fun afterwork! 😉 To make things even better, we rounded off the whole story with the fact that the International Open Access Week is also held in the specified week. Along with this, the association Penkala will be presented to us. Penkala is a non-profit organization founded in 2017. It operates under the slogan "scientific paperclip" - the main goal is to connect and network young scientists in Croatia and abroad.
