Gold Open Access: the good, the bad, the ugly

  • Utrecht, UT Netherlands (map)

The model of Gold Open Access publishing consists of charging authors a publication fee to make their research articles freely available to everyone (open access). However, this direct connection between the number of published articles and revenue can sometimes comprise quality.
