Open Access Journal Editors Panel: Fostering Community

  • Oklahoma City, OK United States (map)

In the spirit of the Open Access Week “Community Over Commercialization” theme, the University of Oklahoma Libraries will be hosting a panel presentation on Thursday, October 26, 2023 to bring together open access journal editors across disciplines with a shared commitment to community-driven publishing. Speakers will include Dr. Cristóbal Salinas Jr. (Journal Committed to Social Change on Race and Ethnicity), Dr. David McLeod (Journal of Forensic Social Work), and Dr. Joe Alberti and Genoa Davidson (The Alexander Journal). The presentations will be followed by a question and answer period during which the audience will have the opportunity to learn more about the panelists’ experiences publishing open access journals in partnership with a university library.

This hybrid event will take place on the University of Oklahoma campus and via Zoom. Registration is required. To find out more about the event and to register, visit the event page at https://libcal.ou.edu/event/11172942, and please feel free to share with your friends and colleagues.
